Grzegorz Ryn

PhD Student - Computer Science

I am a PhD student at Theoretical Computer Science, Jagiellonian University, working under the supervision of prof. Jakub Kozik.

My research focuses on random constraint satisfaction problems, in particular on probabilistic algorithms and the gap between algorithmic and existential results.

I have a background in math olympiads and competitive programming.

    Local committee member.

  • Treasurer — Student Mathematical Society, Jagiellonian University 2024 – 2025

    Co-organization of numerous events including conference, workshops, winter/summer schools and trips to conferences.

    Managed the annual budget of ~80k PLN.

  • Co-organizer — XXVI International Workshop for Young Mathematicians "Combinatorics" 2025

    Co-organized the largest mathematics workshops for students in Poland, with over 60 participants and 10 invited speakers.

  • Co-organizer — OSSM 2025 2025

    Co-organized one of the largest mathematics student conferences in Poland, with over 100 participants.

Competitive programming

Since 2022 I have been teaching algorithms and programming to high school students preparing for programming olympiads. I have experience giving lectures and workshops, and preparing problems for training camps.
